Standards - Metadata and Data formats have been standardized for ease of sharing and discovery. The FGP's metadata standard is the Harmonized North American Profile of ISO 19115, and is implemented for various endpoints.
OGC API - Records
OGC API - Records - An API standard to create, modify, and query metadata on the Web.
CSW - Catalogue Services for the Web , a standard API access created by the Open Geospatial Consortium.
